Bonn -Landesmuseum Reingonheim cingulum and the similar one to it from Cortesia Museum.
This is one of the most beautiful models of Roman cingulum belts.
Wonderful work of Roman military arts.
Very inspiring model!
I know that the plate of this model must be hammered (pressed).
At this stage I will be satisfied with this version which is close to the original . A production of the steel matrix is very difficult and ..COSTLY.
I think I achieve a satisfactory effect on wax model.



My reconstruction of buckle and plate.
From the original photo can be seen that there are a relief lines on the tongue of the buckle:

My two version of (silver plated and tinned) .Parts before assembly. I put a red enamel on the peak.The parts are made of silver plated 925 –brass.



To reach this level of similarity ,I did and throw on the trash over 6 rubber molds!

The Silverplated version (the upper) is the best option as the color and quality.

Everything is ready and prepared for mounting on leather belt.

This is a finished prototype for the development of which I have tried very much.



To reach this level of similarity I worked over 8 months.
The peak of the plate is hollow from inside to be reduce the weight.
Dimensions of the buckle is:Width (without hinges) -33 mm.Height- 50 mm.
Plate thickness 1,5 mm.
Dimensions of the plate is length-55 mm. height (without the balls)-40 mm.
Belt is made of double sewn leather.
