Sorry, I gave some unprecise "hints" above. To make a Deepeeka gallic helmet look / fit better bend the hinges of the bowl inwards and the hinges of the cheek pieces outwards to bring the cheek pieces nearer to the face.

Guy, I don't know how your metalworking skills are, but you could always have a go at making some new cheek guards yourself. Even if they were not exactly the same pattern as the existing ones on your helmet, that would not be a problem as we know of a number of surviving helmets which had had either one or both of their cheek guards replaced in antiquity (sometimes they do not even match each other).

I am a rank amateur when it comes to metalwork, but I amnaged to make a pair of simple cheekguards for a helmet a couple of years ago. I think most adults could do a better job than me.
