It must be a problem with a recent update. I've been using Firefox and attaching pics to this forum for years with no issues.

Now I'm having trouble posting images. IE won't even capture the image from my computer. Using Firefox looks OK at first; the image is captured and the preview appears satisfactory. However, when I try to submit the post, I get a 500 Internal Server Error message which adds that there was also a 404 Not Found error. Is anyone else having the same problem?

How large is the image? I get errors usually with the image is over 1-2 megabytes.

948kb, so that should not be a problem.

Hmm... what version of IE? 10?

8 on Windows XP but that does not have full functionality anyway, since this site was upgraded.

I just loaded an "off-color" color photo on Evan's art thread. No problem. I just have a rinky-dink laptop (windows 7).

OK! This is weird. I just posted a second pic on the Show Your Artwork thread. Instead of being full-sized like the others on that thread, it showed up as an "ATTACHMENT jpg" about the size of a flea. When you click on it, the photo comes up in a rinky-dink box... about the size of a bumble bee. What the.... ? :dizzy:

That's because the first post was deleted by the administration. It was a photo of a painting of a mostly-naked and rather Germanic warrioress wearing not much else except spangens to cover her Venus De Milos.

I also discovered that I forgot to click "add attachment" for the black duck. I think I had a "senior moment." So, I went back and made the correction.

If your image is not even being attached, it's quite possibly a java problem. Again, it's related to using an older browser on an older system.
