What weight leather should I use for the shoulder flap of the Lorica Hamata I am making? The Lorica is costume Grade, but I'd still like the leather to not look like some kind of flimsy garment weight.

If you would like it to be looking 'stiff' about 2,5 to 3 mm will do.

If for theatre or church play you could use artificial leather too glou to flaps onto each other, that makes it stif too.
