Does anyone have an experience of reconstructing a Roman 'draco'?
I am keen to have one made, and need to know more about their design, materials and weight.
All advice and information gratefully received!
Thanks

Hi Rosalind,

We have been very active recently in exploring all the options. So far, we've found only three: Michael Simkins has done a decent one, Britannia has an artificial one which certainly looks the part, but the one we're all waiting for 9and the most costly) is now being made by Toni Feldon for the Foederati.

Check my page on draco's for images of several of these, at: FECTIO
thanks so much for that - I have actually looked at your site (which is excellent) and sent you an email to the address given (the hotmail one) - did you get it?
I would realy like to talk to someone who has tried the reconstructions (are any of the good ones in England?) - can you suggest how I might get in touch with them?
Thanks again, Ros
