The Camomile Street soldier
#1
I have placed a PDF of my 1983 paper on the Camomile Street soldier onto Scribd. As a bonus, you can read J. E. Price's original report on the discovery and initial interpretation of the figure over on archive.org. Finally, my photos of the soldier and Price's woodcut are on Flickr if that lot is not enough for you.

Mike.

I am very pleased to see that there are those who do know just what a button loop fastener was used for and not for the suspension of swords.

Thanks Mike! One of my favorite Romans (and articles) , and the find spot and Museum of London only 5 minutes away from where I work.
