Linda, If I may,
I am a writer of two thrillers (in the Dutch language) and started 2 years ago with the outlines of my novel (also in Dutch) Charioteer.
It is the tale of a charioteer falling in love with a gladiatrix.
Not knowing about the existence of "Gladiatrix" I made some rough sketches similar to the book of Russell Whitfield, as I found out much later.
Whitfield had them (the gladiatrices) fighting naked. Gaius Germanicus (Caligula) could have invented that. Domitianus, I am not so sure.
Could you name to me the garments of a gladiatrix? I would be very grateful.
