Arrival 1400 Friday for setup. Breakdown 1400 or so Saturday followed by feast at a local restaurant (Red Robin I believe it was in 2010!)

Newbies welcome- We have plenty of armor!

Leg VI is proud to announce that we have been selected for a "2nd Saturday" Event at the Roper mountain Science Center in Greenville, SC! The event will be a "mini-castra" with 800 to 1200 students and parents coming out to see the glory that was Rome. All Roman Re-enactors are invited to attend. We would like civilian, barbarian, and Gladiator impressions too, as we have space for the Arena, Camp display, Drill area, Artillery display, engineering display, SOTW, and some supporting events hosted by students and Roper Mountian staff.

Saturday Jollification:
Red Robin (Yummmmm)

Command/Headquarters Hotels:
Days Inn and Suites
60 Roper Mountain Road
I-385 & Exit 37
Greenville, SC 29607 (Across road from event site)
Phone: 864-297-9996
Fax: 864-297-9965

Book the room 14 days early and save 20%. Continental B-fast. $60 an night.
Nicer Alternative: Comfort Inn and Suites located at 831 Congaree Road $95
ON SITE CAMPING IS ALLOWED! Hay will be available.

Fire pit allowed, no food vendor on site, so unless you want to buy candy bars from SOTW you need to plan for lunch and snacks. We'd like to pick up some period foods to share, so hit the yahoo group to volunteer to bring something to share if you can. Olives, Flat breads, Pears, Apples, Grapes, Cheeses, and Sausages... or surprise us!
We want to make a concerted effort to keep the camp as period as possible, so modern food can be consumed at the SOTW tent instead of in camp. Also means we all need to pitch in to keep the tents and such prepped period style.

Drinking water onsite, and SOTW will have water and cokes.
Press will be there doing an article on Castra Romana, so put on your best press friendly gear!

Supermarket/Walmart: There are a couple of Walmarts that are very close (both have the supermarket inside). One is located on Woodruff Road and one is just off Pelham Road. They are both within 2-3 miles of the RMSC.
