Yup, the isle to the left is Sphacteria, where the Spartans were isolated; to the right is Pylos, where the Athenians built their fortress. There's more here.

I think I do, but I don't have the book with the name of the image. Is it in Seville-ish area?

I have now been googling for at least an hour and a half... I cannot find any mosaicos romanos from España with mujeres and a caballo. I think you must give us another clue!

Not being as classically educated in the Roman period as many of you, I have been pouring over every site of photos I could find for mosaics of this description for three days without any luck. I concour we are stumped and need more clues.
