Having look again at the Thrakian helmet with the "face mask" like chieck pieces I must say that your commends gave me food for thought.
Who knows the answer might be one "pick strike" away and there are images that I saw in the Bronze Age Center that made me going through my books again. (like this Corinthian helmet with the "celto-norse" type horns!!!!!!!!)
