This may sound simple enough but for someone who is stuck in Oz I am constantly hearing about amazing papers, discoveries, sources etc that go into far greater depth than the annual 'generic book about the roman army'.
Id love to know where you guys get your sources from, papers, theories, news, I am subscribed to several news feeds and a few libraries that only seem to post their students works up on board and I really want to expand my horizons. So many people here know about the variance in finds, the latest helmet fragments, marching theories etc and I'd absolutely love to draw knowledge from these sources. So my question is; where do you go for your resources?
Regards
Damian

-Bookshops (given an ISBN you can order almost every book online)
-Specialist bookshops (Oxbow and Antikmakler are two important ones in this field of interest)
-Scirus.com is a good online scientific search engine.
-Ethos: online english thesis collection (PDF's are available for free download of most of the thesisses
-Academic library (where you can get articles from the most important magazines, like JSTOR, etc.)

Simple searches in Google also help. You come across the strangest pdf's on the strangest websites. Plus, each day there's a lot of older material being scanned by a great number of people.

Good Day to everybody!
I used to use the web portal
Persee, where you can get articles in french (but not only) from the most important french scientific journals (organized by discipline).
Almost all the articles are free download PDF up-to-date 2007/2008.
I use a lot the archeology section, you can find the principal territorial archaeological journals of France (ex.
Revue Archéologique de l'Ouest,
Revue archéologique de Narbonnaise,
Revue archéologique de Picardie,
Revue archéologique du Centre de la France, etc)
http://www.persee.fr/web/revues/home/pre...discipline
