The poll has closed. Anyone know the result? Boring Spanish Colonial or Super Duper Roman Tactics?

I am GLAD I voted for "Roman Army Tactics" --- don't get me wrong --- but I wish I had seen the "archive" before I "wasted my time." It is now painfully obvious that Osprey just strings us along. "Winning" the poll in any month is no guarantee of getting published in the face of the "wisdom" of the Osprey Editorial Board. Indeed it is almost the kiss of death.

E.G., in the "April Poll 2003" Caesar's Gallic Campaigns, 58-50 BC (Campaign), won handily:

Maginot Line (Fortress) -- 15%
Caesar's Gallic campaigns 58-50 BC (Campaign) -- 37%&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
Russian Hussar of the Napoleonic Wars (Warrior) -- 14%&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
Kharkov 1943 (Campaign) -- 21%&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp
IJN in World War I (New Vanguard) -- 13%

But it was Maginot Line (Fortress) @ only 15% that got publisehd!!

Scan the archive, and you'll see what I mean: www.ospreypublishing.com/content2.php/cid=153

I have a buddy who has published with them. His verbalizations of the process of getting his title to print reminds me of the old saw: Quote:
They don't mind, and we don't matter!

==========================================

"If there's one thing we don't want to see, it's Americans fighting Americans. I won't stand for it, not here, not anywhere." Sergeant Frank Tree, 10th Armored Division, Saturday, 13 December 1941... a little after 0701 hrs... somewhere near Santa Monica, Calif.

You mean, the Deck is Stacked and results are only pending Insider approval?

I am shocked, I tell you, *shocked* !
