Magister Militum per Thracias

I understand that the Magister Militum Praesentalis (I and II) were commanders of the two mobile field armies that would accompanied the emperor on campaign. What about the Magister Militum per Thracias? Was he tasked only with the defense of the diocese of Thrace or was that army also mobile? Were the two dukes along the Danube subordinate to him. And lastly, how far, geographically, did his responsibility for defense extend, out of the diocese?

The Magister Militum Per Thracias did have his own mobile army. It was destroyed in the Battle of the River Utus in 446. The Duces of Moesia II and Scythia Minor both fell under his command.

It was a mobile army but dedicated to Thrace, just like the Gallic army was dedicated to Gaul but a mobile force that campaigned in Spain and Raetia/Noricum.
