I have an idea to build a Roman style wooden bridge over a stream on a property I co-own (with many others). It is really small, something like three meters across and not even knee-deep.
Has anyone done a similar project and can you share any practical tips?

There was a small bridge (of the same size as you're thinking about) built in the Netherlands 4 years ago in the 'Keukenhof'. I will see if I can find some info's about it.
Furthermore Robert Wimmers is including a small bridge in this park, so he might be able to help you a bit. I can also forward you some info about the wooden bridge from Cuijck, Netherlands and several (model) reconstructions. Just need some time.
