A unique and detailed picture of Bronze Age life in the Fens, Cambridgeshire, UK

And a tribute to the professionalism of British archaeologists! Follow the gallery for a great set of excavation in operation photographs.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

Thanks Moi,
Great article and pictures, I wish we had that type of history to dig up here in the U.S. Better yet I hope we do dig up something like that here in the States it would make for greatly interesting conversation and study.

That is amazing. I don't know my English geography, but since they mention River Nene, I suppose that canoe must have been used on a river and it wasn't ocean-going?
