New Kopis From Dioskouri
#1
I am proud to show some of the "under construction" photos of my new Dioskouri kopis and scabbard. The kopis is an exact copy (tracing) of the British National Museum kopis and features a black horn handle scales attached to a very sharp damascus steel blade. All the bolsters and scabbard fittings are finely chased silicon bronze. Although unfinished, I wanted to show some of the fine work Dioskouri is producing, with a decidedly Classical Greek flavor to it. It wasn't cheap by any means, but the quality comparison and short wait time make it a true bargain when compared to ANYTHING else on today's market. I am told there will be more pictures and WAV files on the Dioskouri website in the near future, showing even more detail.

What's the blade length?

And, if I may, how much did it cost?

The blade length is 17" - overall length is 22".

Base cost for the kopis and scabbard is $750.

Chase decorations extra (on mine $800 extra). Any decoration will be unique to your tastes and requests. Price varies according to detail and time.

Bill, nice sword, but one thread about the same topic is enough. Continued here:
