Quote:When the 'Show here your Roman soldier impression' thread was started, I don't recall there having to be any debate about whether or not it would be a good idea or there being any need for the staff to make a decision about it. Someone came up with the idea and simply started a thread, which has gone on to become a staple of RAT. If I recall correctly, the decision to make it a 'stickie' only came later.
So maybe I am missing something, but is there any barrier which is stopping someone starting a 'Show your Roman lady impression' thread in the Civilian Talk section? If not, then why sit around debating - just do it. If it proves to be a popular thread (and I am confident that it would be) then it will justify being made a 'stickie' in the way the soldier impression thread was.
Does that make sense, or am I missing something huge here?

I don't know for certain, but I suspect that there might be confusion regarding definitions. Of course, anyone can start such a "thread," meaning a new conversation topic like "Newbie (civilian chick) - help." But the administrators / moderators would be needed to start a new "forum" or "category" or "section" like "ancient civ talk."
I think sometimes people use such terms interchangeably, so others are confused on what, exactly, they are talking about.
