What is GWW?
Great Western War (GWW) is the major camping event in the Kingdom of Caid, SCA for Southern CA, Vegas NV, and Hawaii. The 14th GWW will to be held October 5-10, 2011. The event is held at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, 13601 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268. It is an easy drive over the hill (north of Los Angeles, over the grapevine I-5) to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves.

While not a hard core re-enactment event, there will be those of us that don't participate in the fighting. There will be various classes, archery etc... and one of the good things about the SCA is it's populas is always willing to learn more about it's period of choice.
So it you're out that way, come share your knowledge with the other Greeks at the Spartan War Bands camp.
