Significant find at Aldborough, North Yorks. of an amphitheatre and stadium by geophysical survey. Needless to say, when I dug there I didn't find it ;-) The Guardian report manages to work in the Ninth Legion which 'marched to its unknown fate in Scotland in about 120AD' (pity the Grauniad subs couldn't get the AD in the right place!).
