Images from Yale
#1
In stark contrast to another thread about museums forbidding photography, Yale have made available a huge database of images which of course includes some from Dura-Europos. Of particular interest will be the extremely permissive licence they are using (i.e. none!):

Quote:In a departure from established convention, no license will be required for the transmission of the images and no limitations will be imposed on their use. The result is that scholars, artists, students, and citizens the world over will be able to use these collections for study, publication, teaching and inspiration.

Kudos to them, say I. Have fun searching!

Yale Art Gallery's e-catalog has a boatload of images from Dura(535pages). I found them about a year ago. Some interesting stuff that's been in storage for decades. They seem to have a mostly complete lorica squamata stuffed into a large metal cracker box.(made in France so probably very tasty, once.)If this is old news, please disregard.
