Letocetum Roman baths and museum
#1
Hi,

Sunday- 10th of July 10.30am to 4.00pm

We will be holding a family event, not a lot of reenactors (we can't afford it! )but we do have our Roman soldier and my cosmetics/ perfumes and medicines are as authentic as possible (Minerva's Apothecary) and there will be some examples of Roman crafts (breadmaking, blacksmithing etc).
It's a great event for the kids and there's a lot of activities for them- our 'kiddies corner' is legendary!
Three Spires Search society will be there too along with members of British Museum PAS scheme

However, we do have a very special guest who has confirmed he will be there- none other than Professor Mick Aston himself! Along with other archaeologists who cut their teeth there in the 1960s.
If you're in the area, please come along, the event has been funded and organised completely by volunteers of the Friends of Letocetum group (under the guidance of NT) who work their fingers to the bone regarding promotion and protection of the site at Wall, Lichfield.
It's completely free of charge, but as usual, any donations are very very much appreciated!
Memmia AKA Joanne Wenlock.
