Making a domed Late Roman shield

I reckon a leather bucket to be functionally a quiver. So build one that will hold 5 plumbatae, probably with a wood-reinforced bottom, and that should work?

Yes, but I like them a reasonable size to hold lots of darts. I suspect if you spend enough time looking around the Comitatus site you will find a quiver/bucket attached to a shield. But in a rush I can only find one attached to a saddle.
