That looks very good. I've always loved Carcopino's classic Daily Life in Ancient Rome, but that is getting very dated. This looks to be a good successor.

I read Alberto Angela book in the original language and I found it very nice, with an easy pace narration, not complex. I think that this is good book for who don't have a large knowledge about roman society.

If you like Aberto Angela, looks for another his book titled "following a coin" or at least this is my translation from the italian title.
