any good references for a Germanic , or perhaps a Celtic hat ? preferably one that offers a tad of a brim for shade ?
attending a few SCA events this summer has shown the deffinant need for one , and I am trying to work towards a "living history" grade kit

This one was found in the Tollund moor:

It is made of dog pelt sewn together.
A similar one was found in Sogards Mose.
Perhaps a bit too warm for summer...
Happy dog hunting!

Was this hat the one from the Tollund man or a different one? I'm having some trouble finding a source for the info on what material it was made from, (ie - dog skin). Can anybody point me in the right direction for further information?

Yes, this is the one the Tollund man wore.
