An interesting think piece, only a shame Graham couldn't have widened the range of pictures to illustrate the points.
I also think it would be worthwhile to revisit the relevance of reenactment to Experimental Archaeology. The late Peter Reynolds had some very strong views on this!
I think we are particularly lucky in Roman reenactment to have some very good links to academia, with some enthusiastic support from the real experts. I have seen very little public criticism by academia over the years.

Really great paper.
I found myself thinking of my own habit and of thegroups that I have both been a part of and worked with and also those of other periods that I have seen. I really enjoy reading stuff like this makes us call into question our own habbits and tendancies in interest of improving our methods and what we do as a whole.
