Does anybody know any modern researches about rhis theme:
what did ancient greeks thought on the qualities which general must posess.
I am mostly interested in the research of terminology (tolma, andreia, pronoia, anchinoia etc.).

Aratus, who led the Achean leauge to victory over Macedon, before inviting them back into Greece rather than submit to his neighbors, was known for crapping his chiton before battle. I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for.
