Hi all,
Quick question - is anyone here aware of evidence that formally banned everyone except the emperor from delivering an adlocutio to the troops? I know Augustus banned the use of the term commilitones in speeches but I'm not aware that he forbade leaders from giving speeches to the men as a whole.
