Thought I'd better just say I'm still here monitoring. Sorry haven't posted recently but very busy and still haven't exhausted the contents of the site yet. Most things I have needed to know are already covered by a thread so I don't want to repeat things.
I have been researching the Cohrs II ITAL , an auxiliary unit (equitate) of volunteer italian Roman citizens serving in Judea in the first century AD. I believe they used a clipeus shield in blue with Romulus/Remus motif, chainmail armour and coolus helmet. Is this correct? In what way would the Centurion's uniform differ?
Any help greatly appreciated, if this has been answered before then please point me in the right direction.
