Zombies Attack
#1
I have been watching the AMC series The Walking dead on Sunday nights. (in this fictional world making shields and spears armor etc seem to have not occurred to anyone)
Can't help but consider that Roman Reenactors would be among the best prepared people to deal with Zombies. Your opinions?

PS: Zombies: a great opportunity to use the wedge formation!

I've often heard it said that re-enactors would be the best prepared people to deal with Zombie outbreak/breakdown of civilisation/some sort of apocolypse and it's obviously not true.
Some re-enactors have the skills needed to survive (as do many Survivalists, Bushcrafters and Boy Scouts) but it's the heavily armed (ie the military) who would end up on top and enslave the rest of us to utilise our skills. My spatha would no doubt take the head off a lumbering revenent but not as effectively or at as great a range as a boom stick.

I'd have thought that high medieval reenactors would be the best equipped to go hand to hand with a zombie. Full plate and a war-hammer...that's what you want.
