The very latest Archaeology mag (May/June 2003) has several articles on pseudo archaeology, particularly as shown on various history channels. I hadn't heard the one about the nuclear attack on Sodom and Gemorrah that wiped out the space station!<br>
A lot of time is given to the explanations on the demands of attracting and holding large numbers of viewers, the tactic of telling a compelling story with the 'unappreciated genius/archaeologist' whom the establishment wants to keep under wraps, the technique of the pseudo archaeologist of attacking and ridiculing anyone who questions them rather than answering a question.<br>
