#1
Salve,

does anyone here know some books about Roman Law. I am not familiar with the (very large) subject, so i'm searching for something which is a good introduction of the subject. Maybe a schoolbook? I prefer English/ Dutch material.
I haven't read any of these, but Oxbow lists 23 books on Roman Law on their UK site;
If you go to their alternate site, Brown, they list 19 books (US pricing).
"The Elements of Roman Law with a translation of the Institutes of Justiniun" by R.W Lee. Some of it is pretty heavy going, but it has a wealth of detail. Best one I've found.
