Greece at WW II

Today is a National Holiday in Greece.

Most people on the subject of Greek History know only of hoplites and pahalanx.
But a nation with 4000 years existence has also modern history.
Part of it was the struggle in WW II. For Greece it started on 28 of October 1940

Today is a National Holiday in Greece.

I was traveling through Greece for the past two weeks, and I realized how hard Greece has been hit during WW2 and the Civil War: about ten years of war all in all.
