Laurels , maybe thats the wrong name . Iam trying to emulate this effect in the image but Iam no good at free hand drawing and thought there might be some kind of stencil or something .

There might be some ideas here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Romanshield/

Nothing directly downloadable for the laurel wreaths that I know of. If you find something, please let everybody know. Matt Amt's Leg XX site has one version that is downloadable, but it's wings and bolts, not laurels. http://www.larp.com/legioxx/scuembl.html

I took the emblem for my scutum (painted by Matt Lukes) from the Arch de Orange. Its different than the "average" shield. Its design is simplistic and clean:
Roman Name: Gaius Marcius Gracilis

I can send you a fairly decent digitised laurel design and a foto of the shield I did. I have posted it before and offered to share it. Send me a PM with your mailadress

Shields of IIII SCYTHICA are almost ready. I'm still not decided what signs to paint on them.
There is not much information about scutum in the first half after Christ.I dig through and read but I could not find information which clearly define the patterns on the shields in that period.
Fourth was in boundaries of Moesia Inferior til around 55 BC.During the reign of Nero, the legion was transferred to the east.So the images of the shields should be from the first half of the first century after Christ.

That which I am familiar is a fresco by Orange 25BC.Image of legionary with Capricorn on the scutum in both ends corner ? ? and two characters between them ~. We will stick to these images of early imperial shields because the sign of our Legion IIII SCYTHICA is a Capricorn.
If anyone has more info let give me an idea.

Do you mean the one that is also used by the LEG II AVG (UK & NL)?

I think we can positively link that design with the original LEG II AVG, as they were involved in a supression of the Gallic revolt of 21AD. The LEG II AVG also has the capricorn as its emblem, though.

Yes I have no other option for now. This is the reliable opportunity. Our form will be from the earlier model on both sides of the scutum.
From where can I get Brass bracelets with width of the channel 13 mm for the scutum, clipeus, parma? Is there someone that producing them? Thank you in advance.

Dou you mean the scutum edging? Jared Fleury wrote a very good article on how to make this on his website. He also describe another way, which Matt Lukes uses. All with very clear photographs. It's not that hard to do. (Although I personally prefer to do my round shields with rawhide edging.)
