Hi Everybody!
Since start of this week I am responsible for the DAAD / Erasmus EU student and teacher exchange program for the History Department at Augsburg University. So far my predecessors have established contacts with the History Departments of French, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Belgian Universities. I am looking for Universities from
the Czech Republic, Denmark, Great Britain, Greece, Hungaria, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland
that would be interested to participate in the exchange together with us. We normally exchange one or two students either per year or per semester, i.e. 5 or 10 months, not more than one teacher, usually only per semester.
I also would be happy about requests from US, Canada, South America, Australia or Asia, however it would be necessary to find other agreements, since Erasmus is for Europe only.
In Ancient History Augsburg´s research profile / core areas:
Ancient and Modern Democracy
History of Hellenism
Dreams and Visions in Antiquity
Ancient Courts and Monarchies
Historic Anthropology
City development and Watersupplies
Late Roman History & Early Christianity
Experimental Archaeology
Ancient Coinage
Ancient Military History
