The tomb of Julian

The Late Roman Emperor Julian ('The Apostate') was originally buried in Tarsus, and then later his remains were transferred to Constantinople. Does anyone know if Julian's tombs in both Tarsus and Constantinople still exist?

Similarly, a number of Roman Emperors were buried in Pola (modern Pula) in Croatia, Diocletian being one of them. Pula was known as the 'City of Tombs' due to the exceptionally large number of them there. I have visited Pula on a number of occasions and found some tombs but unfortunately not Diocletians. I know the Venetians practically stripped Pula of its most interesting tombs and monuments (did you know the columns in St Marks Square, Venice were originally from an intact Roman theatre in Pula? And that it was only an appeal to an influential Venetian senator that prevented the Venetians dismantling the ampitheatre there and transporting it to Venice?).

Does anyone know if Diocletian's and the other Emperors tombs are in Venice and the surrounding area?

I know about that mausoleum as once a year they have a ceremony where a local actor and others dress up as Diocletian and his bodyguard to give an address there. There is a video on Youtube showing it.

However, his tomb, or should I say sarcophagus, was rumoured to be in Pula.

Does anyone know if Julian's tombs in both Tarsus and Constantinople still exist?

I think it is in the garden of the Archaeological Museum in Istanbul, but I am not sure.

Thats the one!

Apparently its much better in the flesh than depicted on film. The only problem is that tourists have a habit of interupting the ceremony, as you can see from the film!
