It is Greek: EEO, it seems. What it means, I don't know

Greek say.
Thank you.
It could not be that?
initials of the craftsman who made the fountain?
or initials of their king?
or the ancient name of a region?
Thank you.

It is certainly Greek; it says ??o. Which may indeed be a sign for the craftsmen. The inscription is not included in this online database. We may perhaps proceed a bit more if you mention the place where it is, although I am not optimistic.

I think though the lettering is Greek it is not an ancient monument at all, i would rather say it might be from the 17th or 18th century, looking at the stones.

And two I s are just discernible between the first two Es and before he final O.

It comes, I believe, from a traditional local song, celebrating Veteranus Macdo Na LD (LD= Liberatus Domini) and his acquisition of a retirement farm.

(Sorry, couldn't resist....)

There are ruins from the Greeks to stay near home. (Rum)
Within 1 km on the bridges there.

As I drew in the picture below, I think.
