city displays of mourning
#1
Ave Civitas,

I have yet another question.

Upon the death of a prominent citizen (governor, praetorian praefects, emperors) did cities display any mourning draperies, wreaths, or similar objects to indicate that the city was in mourning?

If they did, what were the usual mourning displays, and how long were they in place.
If you guys could direct me at some source for this information, I would appreciate it. I don't like bothering you guys with little things like this, but I have looked at what I have and on the internet.

Again, thanks in advance, I know you guys are the experts.

Me.
