This website on Bedouin Silver may be relevant to reenactors. I am aware that "copying foreign-looking jewels because they look as if they're ancient" is Error #1 in Hollywood movies, especially the Biblical ones in which the Jews always are dressed like nineteenth-century Arabs, but there are historical continuities (more...). Besides, many objects are just beautiful.
