I don't think many of the repro helmets would protect a head against a direct pilum hit. And yikes! the person wearing the helmet would have a sudden headache, but not for long... Confusedhock:

My earlier point was, "if they can make and retail a Trooper for around fifty bucks, then why does a (much simpler construction) Gallic A in the same weight of steel cost triple that? Same processes, leaving out all the brass applique." They should be able to make a Hebron for the same price as a Trooper. Just change the dies, so to speak, to the accurate model, and press on.
