LEG VI FFC COH II Event at SEATAC Hub
#1
All,
LEG VI FFC COH II will be working in conjunction with the Washington State Mid Summer Renn Faire to participate in the 2010 Washinginton State Mid Summer Renn Faire out in Buckley, Washington on 14 and 15 August 2010.

http://www.washingtonfaire.com/

Romans will begin to assemble by the Performing Arts Directorate the afternoon of 13 August 2010. Look for two large semi trailers to guide you in.

Fellow Romans and other period impressions that gather under the LEG VI FFC COH II Vex can expect free passes into the fairgrounds as well as free camping and parking. Limited passes for non particiapting Roman family members are also availabe in a limited quantity.

On Friday, fellow Romans can expect to meet with one another, do last minute adjustments to kit, and practice Roman Drill, using the Ludus Milites Drill Commands. Please keep all pole arms to include pila and javelins at home since we will be working in large crowds. Unit standards are welcome!

We do have spare kit, but you do need to ask/coordinate ahead of time.

Fellow Romans and Friends can expect direct engagement not only from the public but also from the other guilds and performers. We will be marching around and doing demonstrations in conjuction with the Academy de Spada and the Equisterian Arts performers.

We are asked to directly intermingle with the public to include partaking in the consumption of beverages in the two ale houses both in and out of character as the situation dictates.
There will also be several closed to the public events available to us as well once the gates close.

This was a trememdously fun event last year. If you are interested in coming to this event, please do not hesitate to contact myself or Greg German, Chris Mattingly at the below listed e-mail addresses, my Black Berry, or even with a IM here.

Looks to be a real good event and we will have two new members also joining our ranks. We might also have another two depending on this coming weekend.

We are looking at a good full crew this year. More the merrier, so as folks decide they can come, please let me know as I need to get you all your free passes in the gates, camping, and parking.

I admit, a shameless bump here to remind folks of this event.

I reconed the entire site last weekend, to include meeting with the event hosts. Everything is locked in and we can expect even better treatment than last year. This event is incrediblly well planned out.

All I need is a e-mail if you plan to attend and participate and I can you on the proper lists for free parking, camping , and attendance in the fairgrounds to include after hour passes.
