August 30, 30 BC: Death of Ptolemy XV Philopator Philometor Caesar (Caesarion), possibly the only son of Julius Caesar. Although he was pharaoh for 14 years, he reinged with his mother Cleopatra for all but the last 18 days. Caesarion was the last king of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Egypt and was killed on orders of Octavian, who would become the Roman emperor Augustus.
August 30, 526 AD: Death of Theodoric the Great, king of the Ostrogoths. He is succeeded by his 10-year old grandson Athalaric, under guardianship of his mother Amalasuntha.
