Was looking through some photos and thought this was interesting.
I cannot recall if the finds are from the Boudican revolt period or not, but thought some might find the photos interesting.
And the Coolus on display. In the lower left of this photo is a spear butt(amusingly labeled as an artillery bolt head), and some slingshot and a sling.

The hamata has the fastening hooks still attached and is described as having a black finish.

Thanks for posting these Byron
Do you have any details of the belt?
Do you or does anyone else know if the collection has been published anywhere?
Graham.
"Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream" Edgar Allan Poe.
"Every brush-stroke is torn from my body" The Rebel, Tony Hancock.
"..I sweated in that damn dirty armor....TWENTY YEARS!', Charlton Heston, The Warlord.

I am afraid I don't Graham. It was a couple of years back now...2008 I think, and apart from being
part of the display, I had not heard of the collection at all before hand.
It was quite a surprising little museum. You could always contact them I suppose.
A lot of pretty interesting artifacts. And some amazing mosaics.

And the mosaics which if IRC come from the villa which can be seen up in the park.
The last ones are displayed very imaginatively. Quite inspired layout I think.
