hi does any one know anything about roman army food I.E how to make it?

I guess everyone knows the troops had an alloted grain ration. But they probably ate better than we think they did. Foragers-- the venatores, and piscators-- went out and gleaned everything from deer to fish and clams. The surviving papyrus scraps found in Britain give us a list of what was "unofficially" eaten.:grin:
