Single file! Confusedhock: What if the Germans are hiding in the forest!!!
Lots of armor and weaponry. Has anyone ever jumped on a car scale with their unit to get combined weight? I would think that is an interesting subject in itself. Getting the common weight of each soldier could help determine unit strengths and such for historical value no?

Not something we suffer from so much in our period. They're more likely to be hiding in the army.

I've seen your group's pictures, Dan has a book by Alain Alexander that features you guys, (lovely kit I must say) shame you weren't there, I'm sure if you speak to Dan or Medicus Matt (the liaison/organiser) then it'll be ok, assuming English Heritage let us do it again, perhaps we can convince them something happened in 411AD 8) Or Just do the 1601'st anniversary. I know the client was very happy with it so who knows...

Hopefully the event will grow Big Grin

Aftermath of the failure and execution of Constantine III? It'd give EH the excuse to use the 'A' word in their advertising this time.

Lovely pic sent to Britannia today by TC Caburesque

Matt's wearing a lovely replica of the Fernpass helmet, much admired by his opponent as he stabs him to death
