Has anybody seen the new Robin Hood film with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett?

I really enjoyed it. It is great to see it given a more earthy format - reclaimed from Hollywood, it is no longer Robinhood (one word - three syllables) ... but Robin Hood 8)
The French invasion of Dover Beach is very reminiscent of the Saving Private Ryan storming the beaches scenes - the mediaeval landing craft bearing more than a passing resemblance to the D-Day ones - and the bodies in the water also similar in cinematic styling. Ridley Scott at his best and crying out for a sequel ...
The classic and archetypical English hero - Robin Hood - played by a Kiwi with his bird an Ozzy, her father-in-law a Swede and the marshall a yank!!!
