Voices from Vindolanda
#1
Currently being serialised on BBC Radio 4 is a dramatisation based on the Vindolanda writing tablets, 15 minutes a day (first airing as part of Woman's Hour). Plot summaries and streamed downloads of previous episodes are online at
Those look good, so I hope they add the streaming audio for these soon. Actually, it would be more certain to buy the tapes/cd, including that one you mentioned a few months back that the BBC did.
Richard Campbell, Legio XX.

Oops, apologies! I had assumed the streamed edition of Woman's Hour *included* the serial, but now that I've reconnected my RealPlayer I have discovered it actually ends after 45 minutes... so it doesn't! Oh well, to make up, you can always go and listen to Dawn Chorus Day at www.bbc.co.uk/nature/prog...dule.shtml
I have written to Radio 4 and asked if they will be selling tapes of the programs for those who live outside their listening area, however, I have my doubts....

Anyone got tapes they want to trade?

If they're released on BBC audio you ought to be able to get hold of them anywhere over the internet. I heard one of these on Monday was good, if a bit thespian

Thank you Derrick!
I enjoyed the tape very much.
Yes, if others in the Americas want copies, I will try and duplicate it for you! It's only fair, and will save Derrick the cross-Atlantic postage.
"Just before class started, I looked in the big book where all the world's history is written, and it said...." Neil J.
