Simon Scarrows new book
#31
Even with my caupona which she would never see, I wrote to Lindsey Davis and asked permission to use Falco's name in some grafitti I was planning to add. She kindly said I could use it as it is non-commercial and very limited.

I've just got back into Roman Army com after a long break (writing the first Wellington/Napoleon book) and so just found this topic.

For the record, I'm a huge Lindsey Davis fan, and have collected her books from the start. The very brief reference to her work was meant as a tribute. I was very sorry to have caused a writer I respect any offence and I have apologised to Lindsey personally and in public. Out of sensitivity to her response my publishers and I excised the references from all subsequent editions, of which there have been three so far. It's been a sobering business and I deeply regret upsetting her, especially at at time when she had enough on her plate already. So I feel a real heel about this.

Good to have you back Simon.

Does this mean that 'Sharpe' will get real competition now?
Greets!
