3rd century units serving under Postumus to Tetricus
#1
A fellow re-enactor has the plan to launch a group reproducing military and civil life in 3rd century Gaul. His main emphasis is on the 'gallic empire', from Postumus to Tetricus. He is looking for informations about the units - preferably auxiliae - that made up their armies. I read those were mostly vexillatio from British and Rhenish legions. Is there any source of their name?
"O niurt Ambrois ri Frangc ocus Brethan Letha."
"By the strenght of Ambrosius, king of the Franks and the Armorican Bretons."
Lebor Bretnach, Irish manuscript of the Historia Brittonum.
