Armidale Ancients (really the New England Medieval Arts Society in ancient guise) will be hosting an informal day the weekend pior to their Early Medieval Easter Gathering this Easter,
It is called Ancient Daze (for want of a better name), period 1250bce-400ace,
and will feature some combat (metal weapons) between civilised types and barbarians, as well as gladiatorial,
short march, weapons drill rotation exercise, mini "games" event and a feast
March 28
THe Armidale Ancients will also be hosting what has come to be called The Roman Route March Project - which will be a 4 day (ancients) route March along dirt roads, following a small river in a location that is roughly halfway between Brisbane and Sydney that will culminate in a weekend event known as the Ancients Assembly iv (9th -10th October).
