Do NOT see this movie starring Christopher Lambert. I had such high hopes for this movie about Vercingetorix. The optimist in me kept saying, "This will be a good one..."<br>

Well...It wasn't. The history was ALL WRONG, and the costumes were HIDEOUS. The Romans looked like...like...Remember that Mickey Mouse photo I posted a few months ago? <p><BR><p align=center><font color=gold><font size=3>

It seems to me that somewhere Quintus (Matt Amt) posted a review of this ...movie.... from one of his friends.<br>

It was pretty darn funny (matching in tone with Quitus own review of that Russell Crowe abomination)<br>

Yeah the history part was not quite right, but the rest of it I just put down to lack of budget… though when I saw it wasn’t expecting much, in fact I had no idea what it was until it started.<br>
<br>
Maybe that helped me enjoy the movie…<br>

I think it was Klaus Maria Brandauer, was a different choice to Caesar……<br>

I wish I had read these reviews before I rented this *thing* the other night!<br>
As mentioned above the history was off, the costumes, well, some were O.K. for the late 1st cent.<br>
otherwise they were bad to worse than bad. the plot was not good, the dialog was stillborn,<br>
and the casting was pretty darn lacking in most respects, in my humble opinion. I only finished watching it so that I would never be temped to rent it again, just to see how it ended. I was bitterly<br>
disappointed. <p></p><i></i>
